Role Description: The Safety Engineer will prevent workplace accidents and promote health and safety awareness andeducation to fellow employees. Responsible for making sure that employees follow health and safety laws andcreating policies for a safer work environment

Key ResponsibilitiesMonitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for assessment and evaluation across all construction projectsReviewing and assessing the health & safety implications of changes as they occur during a construction project.Developing and implementing reporting and communications structures on health and safety management performance for each project to enable the accurate assessment and actively engaging with all aspects of day-to-day health and safety managementAttendance, and participation in meetings with management and personnel as Attending planning and coordination reviews, for both day-to-day and longer-term safety planning for work activitiesAssisting in the evaluation of the effectiveness of Health & Safety planning at the site level, through the assessment of communications with all parties; including contractors, workers, and supervisorsCarrying out independent Health & Safety audits on all aspects of construction management includingMonitoring compliance between health and safety planning and works on siteAssess compliance with agreed KPIs across all project stagesCoordinate work activities on the sitesIdentify, assess, and evaluate high-risk activitiesConduct training and educationAssist and review safe plans of action, lifting plans, etc. competency of contractors and operativesPerform additional duties as assignedPreferred Qualifications/ Relevant Experience

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety or a related fieldIn-depth knowledge of EPA standards (OSHA plus)Strong interpersonal skillsAbility to leadGreat attention to detailCritical thinking and problem-solving skillsAbility to explain technical concepts in simple termsExcellent organizational skillsOrganized and detail-oriented.
