We are guided by our mission of delivering outstanding supplier performance and minimizing risk. We span multiple sites in North America, Europe, and Asia, handling approximately $1B in spend for Viasat, and buying everything from common COTS electronic components to integrated satellite subsystems, and from paper to streaming sporting events. Global Sourcing Manager
you will lead and manage Supply Chain strategies for procurement categories of specialized products in support of satellite antenna products. You will also lead the material sourcing strategy and execution for specific programs and products. Youll partner with other functional department leaders to establish strategic objectives and provide direction to resolve key sourcing issues. You will work on complex functional projects requiring detailed knowledge of standard methodologies for sourcing and procurement. Being a self-starter and having the ability to communicate across all levels internal to Viasat as well as externally with our vendors will be vital to the success of this positionJob ResponsibilitiesPartner with internal customers to ensure sourcing strategies are aligned with program objectivesLead key Supply Chain projectsSupport growth, scalability, and manufacturing capacity activities with suppliersEnsure early and active involvement with projects to source new suppliers and processesIssue RFPs, negotiate, evaluate, down-select, and execute contract agreements and purchase ordersFacilitate supplier business reviews and maintain strategic relationshipsWhat you'll need:
5+ years directly applicable Supply Chain experienceExperience with contract management, project management, and supplier relationship managementProven experience with detailed data analysis leading to strategic sourcing recommendations and decisions.Strategic Sourcing skills: SOW Development, Request for Quote/Proposal/Information, Total Cost of Ownership analysis and Supplier DevelopmentExperience with negotiating supplier agreements and leveraging of Terms & Conditions for competitive advantageSelf-starter with the ability to adapt, improve processes, and find solutions.Must have excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation skills including the ability to influence all levels of internal stakeholders.Experience with MS Office and Major ERP System, including Web-Based Supplier InterfaceBachelors Degree with focus in Technical Operations, Business, Supply Chain, or related experienceUS citizenshipAbility to travel up to 15%What will help you on the job:
Technical and Financial competenceNew Product Introduction, Space, Aerospace or Electronics program-related experienceInstitute for Supply Management (ISM), Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) certificationLean Six Sigma Experience or CertificationWorking knowledge of Federal and Defense contracting requirements (DFAR/FAR/ITAR)
Salary range:$99,800.00 - $162,000.00 / annually
