Demand Planner II

Discover Impactful Work:
You will play a key role in delivering groundbreaking electron microscopes in the semiconductor industry for scientists and engineers around the world. You will work with a supportive team of colleagues to deliver planning strategies that will enable the factory to produce according to customer needs. You will collaborate with global teams from Thermo Fisher Scientific to ensure effective end-to-end supply chain planning and execution and a premier customer experience.
A day in the Life:
Own and plan production work for assigned product lines.
Meet with purchasing to discuss production plan changes and material availability issues.
Participate in build plan meetings and some Sales & Operations Plans (S&OP) meetings.
Consolidate customer forecasts into a single risk-assessed demand plan.
Analyze data and generate metrics for the team that will be used to drive build plan and process improvements.
Work with internal customers to improve forecast accuracy and alignment.
Identify inventory risks and opportunities based on the consolidated demand plan.
Make recommendations for inventory and stocking levels to improve material readiness.
Serve as back up for other planners.
Keys to Success:
Education
Associate degree with 4+ years related experience required
Bachelors degree with 2+ years related experience
APICS Certification and/or Six-sigma or lean experience is a plus.
Experience
2+ years proven experience in forecasting and demand planning with Bachelors Degree
4+ years proven experience in forecasting and demand planning with Associate Degree
Microsoft Excel experience
Business Intelligence (BI) and other analytical tool familiarity
Ability to proactively communicate and coordinate the build plan with numerous internal team members.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Knowledge of forecasting, inventory management, and production planning processes.
Have a passion for process improvement and operational efficiency.
Familiarity with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) environments. (SAP, Oracle, QAD, etc.)
A motivated individual with a keen attention to detail.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $64,800.00–$86,400.00.
This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
