IPS Employment Specialist ACT TEAM

Unique opportunity to assist Unity House of Troy’s vulnerable populations.
As the Individual Placement Support Employment Specialist, your priority will be assisting with employment opportunities.
$2500 sign on bonus
Responsibilities:
Actively collaborate with the ACT team and other agency programs to develop individualized employment service.
Assist with educational services for participants including visits to local GED programs and colleges.
Provide direct support for participants with securing employment through; resume writing, completing applications and the interview process.
Other direct support includes follow-along job coaching. Support individuals to maintain their job.
Maintain case records documentation as required by program funding sources and Unity House in a timely manner.
Make sure electronic health records system is updated accordingly.
Promote an environment of inclusion and belonging.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED. Please have at least Six (6) months of personal or professional experience in human services working with people with severe mental illness. Experience providing employment services to people with barriers to employment preferred. Must have a NYS driver license that is valid with a clean record. Reliable transportation. Ability to travel independently, or with reasonable accommodations, throughout the community and outreach with local employers. Ability to work with a team. Must be able to produce reports and use computer software.
