The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing general and specific human resources support in the areas of recruiting, employee relations, performance management and leave administration.
Responsibilities:Lead and manage full cycle recruiting for seasonal summer camp and regular staff positions, including writing job postings, conducting phone screens/interviews, coordinating interview schedules, and extending offers of employment, etc.Plan, coordinate and attend recruitment/career fairs, events, etc., to build candidate pipelines for seasonal camp positions. Network with local high schools, colleges, universities, career centers and community groups to bring awareness of employment opportunities.Collaborate with marketing team to develop recruitment collateral, flyers and campaigns.Manage and facilitate employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including conducting new hire orientations and exit interviews.Provide support, guidance and training to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures and practices.Partner with managers and employees to resolve employee relations and performance issues through coaching, counseling, investigation and conflict resolution.Assist in the day-to-day administration of leaves of absences and workers compensation processes, including providing required notifications, documentation, and appropriate follow-up.Support the implementation of HR strategies and initiatives in partnership with the Director of Human Resources to develop structure, business processes, etc.Lead or participate in projects and other duties as assigned to meet department goals and objectives.Experience and Skills
Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field; HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) desired.Minimum three (3) years of progressive human resources experience including recruiting.Previous high volume recruiting experience for entry to mid-level positions.Knowledge and understanding of federal, state and local employment laws and HR best practices.Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with candidates, staff and others.Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environmentEffective time management and organizational skills, and the ability to multitask, establish and maintain priorities and meet deadlines; High sense of urgencyAble to maintain confidentiality and act with diplomacy when working with employee data or any other confidential information or materials.Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience with HRIS systems (preferably Paylocity).Valid driver's license. Ability to travel to council properties (including Julian), and recruiting and other events or meetings. Must be able to work occasional evenings or weekends as necessaryBelief in the mission and values of Girl Scouting; be willing to subscribe to the principles expressed in the Girl Scouts Promise and Law.

Expected salary range: $68,000 - $73,000 (DOE)
