IMMEDIATE OPENING for an experienced Director of Sales near Groton, Connecticut. Salary $80K to $85K with quarterly bonus plan of up to 25% of earnings. $50 Monthly cell phone allowance and Medical reimbursement.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a leadership hotel sales role.
Proficiency in the English language.
Reliable transportation a must.
Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Outstanding interpersonal abilities and an unwavering commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

Job Description/Responsibilities:
Take charge of leading, directing, coordinating, and overseeing group and corporate transient sales in all facets of sales-related endeavours.
Foster growth within existing accounts while proactively generating new business to surpass budgetary expectations, thereby optimizing revenue and profitability.
Nourish and maintain relationships with current accounts, cultivating enduring partnerships.
Formulate innovative sales and marketing strategies tailored to each designated hotel.
Collaborate closely with the rest of the sales team, revenue management, and Hotel General Manager to ensure properties thrive in profitability while maintaining guest satisfaction.
Cultivate strong partnerships with sales coordinator and Hotel General Manager at assigned locations to facilitate the acquisition of group business across diverse segments, including corporate transient clientele.
Provide comprehensive training and support to sales coordinator to ensure their performance aligns with Hilton brand standards.
Establish and implement effective sales strategies that drive property-wide goals for both rate and occupancy.
Create and execute an annual marketing plan addressing sales strategies and budget objectives.
Develop an in-depth understanding of hotel operations, including room types, meeting capacities, service offerings, and unique property attributes.
Demonstrate a solid understanding of market dynamics, encompassing competitors, economic trends, and supply and demand factors.
Proactively reach out to secure new business, advancing regional revenue goals.
Attain monthly revenue targets for room and banquet sales, setting an example for the team and offering guidance in meeting assigned objectives.
Focus efforts on specific accounts, markets, or segments through proactive solicitation and thorough account saturation.
Actively participate in local networking organizations, community events, and industry gatherings, effectively representing the hotel with professionalism and distinction.
Perform other duties as assigned.
