The mission of the Data Analyst Intern, in partnership with the Data Analytics Team, is to successfully build analytic information tools, reports, and applications for the Event Services Market. We are searching for a Data Analyst intern who can gather important company data and compile it into specifications that our teams can use to build world-class analytic products. The ability to work on several projects simultaneously and translate business data into digestible information that can be actioned on is a key element of the role. The ideal candidate should be able to analyze business data and provide insight or recommendations. This position is based in Schiller Park, IL. Temporary housing is not provided for this role.Key Job ResponsibilitiesWorking under the supervision of a Data Engineer, you will help design data models, develop reporting tools, and perform ad-hoc analysis using Encore’s software development methodology.Working closely with the Data Analytics team, you will create, review, and submit weekly insight reports that provide actionable insights and recommendations for both our FP & A & Workforce Analytics BI suites.Working with the Data Analytics Team, you will also help define and monitor KPIs to quickly identify areas of concern, propose analyses, and/or take corrective actions.Job QualificationsUndergraduate student pursuing a STEM major, with a 3.5 GPA or aboveCompetent in basic or advanced Excel functions such as SUMIF, VLOOKUP, etc.Basic Business Intelligence toolset experience, Power BI, Tableau, Reporting Services, or similarExperience writing T-SQL syntax in a Microsoft SQL Server environmentKnowledge of Python and familiarity with ML concepts/algorithmsThe ability to work in an agile and creative environmentSolid communication and excellent interpersonal skillsHighly motivated individual with a passion for Data Analytics, follow-through, and continuous learningCompetenciesCommunication – Fostering & transparentAdaptabilitySolution-orientedData Literacy – StorytellingContinuous learningAnalyzing & Visualizing dataData Analytics & Finance
