The incumbent will design projects and experiments, carry them out, and analyze the data, as well as write manuscripts. He/She will perform experiments independently with minimum supervision. It is expected that there will be data outcomes on a weekly basis.Responsibilities
Design projects and experiments independently.Conduct experiments with minimal supervision.Submit papers within one year.Write initial drafts of manuscripts and organize figures.Work under the PI’s supervision to rewrite manuscripts as suggested in a timely manner.Position Status

Minimum Education and Experience:
PhD, 5-10 years of lab work in neuroscience or molecular biology.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience in neuroscience or molecular biology and mouse genetics due to the nature of study in memory and behavior in mice. Proficiency with PCR machine, qPCR machine, water maze, shuttle box, and optogenetics.Physical Demands and Work Environment
Think independently about long-term projects and develop original ideas with minimal supervision. A postdoc is expected to introduce new and innovative ideas to the lab work without suggestions from the PI or other lab members. Intensive work with current literature is essential. Design both short-term and long-term parts of the project and experiments independently. Interact with the PI to make timely changes in the experimental design. Ability to work independently and train/supervise undergraduate and graduate students.Location
