Job Summary:The Sales Director for our organization is a strategic leader responsible for driving sales growth, developing key client relationships, and expanding market share. This role requires a seasoned professional with exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in sales and business development.Key Responsibilities:Sales Strategy Development:Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets and business objectives.Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth.Collaborate with senior management to set sales goals and create action plans.Client Relationship Management:Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders.Serve as the primary point of contact for major accounts, addressing their needs and resolving issues.Conduct regular meetings and reviews with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.Team Leadership and Development:Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and collective goals.Provide training and professional development opportunities to enhance team skills and performance.Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular performance reviews.Sales Operations:Oversee the sales pipeline, from prospecting to closing deals, ensuring efficient and effective sales processes.Implement best practices and sales methodologies to optimize performance and productivity.Develop and monitor sales metrics and KPIs to track progress and make data-driven decisions.Market Analysis and Business Development:Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and emerging trends.Develop and execute strategies for market penetration and expansion.Identify and pursue new business leads, partnerships, and strategic alliances.Collaboration with Other Departments:Work closely with the marketing team to align sales and marketing strategies.Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless execution of logistics solutions and client satisfaction.Liaise with finance and customer service teams to address any issues affecting client accounts.Reporting and Forecasting:Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance summaries to senior management.Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred) or equivalent experience.Proven experience (3-5 years) as a Sales Director or similar leadership role within the logistics or supply chain industry preferred.Strong understanding of logistics operations, market dynamics, and industry trends.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies.Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Key Competencies:Strategic ThinkingNegotiation and PersuasionRelationship ManagementTeam LeadershipData-Driven Decision MakingMarket InsightWorking Conditions:This position may require occasional travel to meet with clients and attend industry events.Flexible work hours may be necessary to accommodate client needs and time zones.
