PermanentDuties and Responsibilities

Professionally crafts and manages all internal and external communications of the CTAHR Dean’s Office and builds and strengthens both internal and external communities.Provides leadership and strategic direction in guiding, managing and supporting the operations of the CTAHR Office of Community Engagement and Communications (CEC).Serves as a liaison in identifying, promoting, and maintaining effective ways of increasing public awareness of CTAHR to internal and external constituencies.Proactively develops stories on faculty and student research, Extension, and Teaching accomplishments.Collaborates with the UH Communications Office to disseminate CTAHR information and stories to enhance visibility and brand.Works with CTAHR Dean, the Office of Alumni Relations, and the CTAHR Development Officer to create innovative communication and Alumni engagement programs.Responsible for building sustained stakeholder engagement and relationships to increase internship opportunities for CTAHR students.Leads CTAHR’s Student Ambassadors program providing exceptional growth and leadership development opportunities for students.Facilitates production and publication of CTAHR’s annual impact report, newsletters, videos, and other publications.Fosters a customer service mentality and serves as the graphic design artist for publications, webpages and social media.Cultivates an ethical and compassionate environment for accountability, collegiality and teamwork.Other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications

Education and Professional Work Experience:

Possession of a baccalaureate degree in arts, communication, human development, business, agricultural sciences or related field and 5 year(s) of progressively responsible professional experience; or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Considerable working knowledge of principles, practices and techniques in community engagement and communications, including print and social media. Demonstrated ability to resolve complex problems, interpret and present information clearly, and establish effective working relationships.To Apply:
