Product Liability Associate Attorney - Junior to Midlevel
This prestigious position offers a dynamic lawyer the opportunity to become an integral part of an AmLaw 50 firm known for its formidable presence in product liability litigation. Positioned in either San Diego, Los Angeles, or Seattle, this hybrid role provides the chance to represent renowned consumer brands, technology firms, manufacturers, and aviation companies, addressing complex mass torts disputes. Compensation:
$235,000.00 - $365,000.00 annually, plus discretionary annual bonuses, 401(k) plan contributions, and comprehensive health benefits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide diligent representation to high-profile clients in product liability cases, ensuring thorough preparation and excellent advocacy in court.
Develop and implement defense strategies for complex litigation cases to minimize client risk and achieve optimal outcomes.
Conduct rigorous legal research and draft comprehensive legal documents such as motions, briefs, and memos critical for case success.
Collaborate with a team of attorneys and paralegals to manage case progress, sharing insights and strategic direction throughout the litigation process.
Engage with clients to discuss case developments, offer legal guidance, and ensure alignment on case strategy and expectations.
Participate in depositions, trial preparations, and court appearances, demonstrating high-level litigation competencies.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
JD from a top-tier law school with a track record of academic excellence.
Active membership in the California or Washington State Bar.
At least two years of litigation experience, particularly in product liability within an AmLaw 100 firm or similar environment.
Proven ability to manage multiple cases and legal activities with strict attention to detail and timelines.
Strong research, analytical, and verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in representing high-profile, multinational clients in the sectors of consumer goods, technology, manufacturing, or aviation.
Prior federal clerkship experience.
Familiarity with the latest legal technologies and software for litigation management and research.
Skills:
Exceptional legal writing and analytical skills to effectively argue cases and prepare pivotal legal documents.
Outstanding negotiation and interpersonal skills to successfully communicate with clients and opposing counsel.
Adept at legal research tools and resources critical for case preparation and strategy formulation.
Time management skills, capable of handling a large workload efficiently and meeting deadlines.
