WHAT YOU'LL DO
ProService Hawaii and Obsidian HR are seeking a dedicated
Payroll & HR Specialist
to join our dynamic team. In this crucial role, you will ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll and HR administration, delivering exceptional service to our employees for payroll, benefits, and HR inquiries. Your work will foster trust and satisfaction across the organization, making a significant impact.
As part of the HR team, your responsibilities will include generating reports, conducting audits, managing leave requests, overseeing benefits enrollments, and verifying employment. Given the sensitive nature of this role, it's essential to uphold the highest standards of integrity, confidentiality, and discretion. Payroll:
Process weekly payroll, ensuring timecard approvals from supervisors/managers.
Handle supplemental payroll (commissions, bonuses, separations, etc.).
Conduct detailed audits to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations.
Partner with Tax Compliance on year-end activities (W2s, W2-Cs).
HR Operations:
Manage the HRIS system and employee workflows.
Oversee benefits management, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
Process leave requests (FMLA, TDI, WC, etc.) and maintain accurate employee data.
Track certification reimbursements.
Reporting:
Provide on-demand, recurring, and ad-hoc internal HR reports.
Conduct annual internal HR audits in collaboration with Accounting.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Experience:
5+ years of payroll experience, with proficiency in multi-state payroll regulations.
3+ years of HR experience preferred.
Familiarity with Prism and/or iSolved systems is a plus.
Attention to Detail:
A keen eye for accuracy in payroll processing, auditing, and record-keeping.
Time Management:
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Communication Skills:
Clear and effective communication across all levels of the organization, providing excellent service and support for payroll and benefits inquiries.
Problem Solving:
Analytical skills to resolve complex payroll and benefits challenges.
Compliance Knowledge:
Strong understanding of state and federal payroll regulations, with the ability to ensure compliance through regular audits.

Competitive Pay & Benefits:
We believe in recognizing and rewarding your hard work. The pay range for this role is $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
