General Manager

for our Ice Rink, Heartwood Ice, in

Omaha, Nebraska

from

mid-November, 2024 through mid-January, 2025.

Additional time prior to opening and after the event closes will also be available. Ideally, candidates are available beginning November 1st through January 31st.

Location: Heartwood Park, Omaha, Nebraska

Heartwood Park has a new public area known as The Bosque that will host a seasonal ice skating rink each year. The 2024 winter season will be the inaugural launch of Heartwood Ice. As a thank you to the public, Heartwood will provide this experience free of charge. Ice-America will be producing the skating rink at Heartwood Ice! Skaters and non-skaters alike are encouraged to apply for this fun and exciting event designed to engage the community during the holiday season!

We are currently seeking fun, enthusiastic men and women with strong leadership experience in managing or supervising a team in a fast-paced working environment. Must have strong customer service, communication, written, and organizational skills. Having extensive knowledge of the ice skating industry, rink operations, productions and/or competitions is preferred.

The

General Manager

acts as a brand ambassador and Company/City representative and must have the ability to maintain client relationships. Comfortable working outdoors in various temperatures and elements. Responsible for eliminating safety hazards, driving sales, reducing controllable expenses, scheduling, and the day-to-day operations of a temporary holiday ice skating event. The General Manager will lead the operations team, overseeing all aspects of the staff practices, including scheduling/payroll and daily supervision. Cash handling oversight; cash register operations, daily banking, and nightly reconciliation following company policies and procedures. CPR/First Aid certifications preferred, but not required. Having proficiency in Microsoft Office is preferred. Applicants must have the availability to work during the Holidays, working up to 59 hours a week. Local applicants preferred.

Compensation

dependent upon experience, ranging from $24-27/hour ($1,680-$1,890/week).
