LIQUOR CONTROL AUDITOR II (SR-22) [1 vacancy]

The Department of Budget and Fiscal Services, Liquor Commission, is hiring a Liquor Control Auditor II. This position serves as a working supervisor in the Audit & Accounting Section of the Liquor Commission of the City and County of Honolulu under the general direction of the Administrative Services Officer. The role includes conducting and supervising audits and examinations of gross liquor sales and ensuring collections of additional license fees in accordance with the audit and accounting procedures and rules prescribed by the Liquor Commission and Liquor Laws of Hawaii.
Examples of duties of a Liquor Control Auditor II include but are not limited to the following:Develops and devises accounting procedures and audit systems to implement and coordinate an effective audit program to systematically review and audit liquor sales reports submitted to the Commission.Develops and recommends work criteria, internal operating procedures, form and report formats.Supervises the receipt and collection of additional license fees and fines.Reviews, examines, and audits bookkeeping and accounting records of licensees for verification of gross liquor sales reports, income, purchases, and expenses.Recommends employment selection, disciplinary actions, promotions, and other personnel actions.Assists in developing and administering policies, procedures, and rules relating to the gross liquor sales reports and the periodic revision of the License Fee Schedule as revenues are adjusted to meet Liquor Commission operating and administrative expenditures.If you qualify for the position, your name will be placed on an eligible list. EDUCATION REQUIREMENT
:Equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited four-year college or university with major work in accounting, economics, public administration, or business administration. Education obtained outside of the United States must be comparable to a degree earned at a regionally-accredited college/university in the United States. In order to receive credit for the education, a foreign credential evaluation (FCE) must be provided.
Verification Requirement : You must submit evidence of your qualifying Bachelor's degree in one of the listed areas of study in order to be given credit. Please attach an electronic copy of your diploma and/or official transcript which shows the embossed seal or applicable FCE to your application. Unofficial transcripts will not be accepted.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
:Three (3) years of experience in the field of accounting AND auditing involving the use of professional accounting techniques and principles.
LICENSE REQUIREMENT
:Valid Hawaii State driver's license (Type 3/automobile), prior to appointment.
