Director of Finance - FLACRAOnsite in Newark, NYJob Summary:As the Director of Finance, you will oversee daily operations and strategic objectives for FLACRA’s accounting functions. You will lead a team of accountants, accounts payable staff, and an administrative assistant, ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, cost reports, and budgets. A key aspect of this role is managing grant billing and reporting, as well as working directly with external auditors to maintain financial compliance.What We’re Looking For:Education : BA/BS in Finance or Accounting required; MBA or CPA preferred.Experience : Proven supervisory experience in an accounting setting is required.Technical Skills : Proficient in accounting software and advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.Analytical Abilities : Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Communication : Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with staff, service providers, and external stakeholders at all levels.Interpersonal Skills : Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and individuals.Leadership : Demonstrated leadership in high-pressure environments with a track record of team success.Key Responsibilities:Lead and supervise accounting, accounts payable, and administrative staff to ensure efficient financial operations.Oversee the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, budgets, and cost reports, ensuring regulatory compliance.Manage grant billing and reporting, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.Coordinate with external auditors for smooth and compliant audits.Provide timely financial reports to management, including revenue, expenses, and account receivables.Conduct internal audits to maintain regulatory compliance.Prepare and submit regulatory reports such as the CFR.Maintain accurate records and manage grant invoicing.Why Join Us?Be part of a mission-driven organization where your work makes an impact.Collaborate with a passionate and supportive team.Opportunities for professional growth and advancement.Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.About Us:Finger Lakes Area Counseling and Recovery Agency (FLACRA) is a growing not-for-profit provider of behavioral health and substance abuse treatment services in the Finger Lakes Region.
