POSITION DETAILS
Position Summary
The Sr. Director of Sales and Business Development is responsible for the Business Unit’s order bookings / revenue growth, through securing new business wins and account management and follow-on orders from existing customers. The position will have responsibility to define sales and business development strategies as well as forecasting and strategic planning; will support new product development, working closely with engineering and site functional leaders to ensure timely introduction of products to market to include Proposals and Contract Negotiations. Reporting directly to the Vice President and General Manager of the Corona Business Unit, this role is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team.
Principal Activities
Lead the staff effort for creating and updating the Business Unit Five Year Strategic Plan
Prepare Annual Sales Forecast for Business Unit Annual Budget
Prepare and Execute Annual Bookings Plan for the Business Unit Annual Budget
Responsible for managing International and Domestic Accounts for the Business Unit, either directly or through the Business Unit Sales Force including Distributors & Sales Representatives
Lead and manage the Business Unit’s Sales Force on a daily basis regarding bookings, customer forecasts, customer issues, quote approvals and general interface
Develop and maintain customer relationships to better support our customers’ needs and uncover new business opportunities
Responsible for driving New Business activities to include proposals, source selection, and negotiations while adhering to the AS-9100 NPI Phase Gate process
Assess market needs, understand how they relate to CIRCOR product capabilities and develop market specific strategies and business plans
Support the development and execution of technology roadmaps

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Proven track record in technical sales in Aerospace & Defense design-to-spec products or systems
Significant experience with design-to-spec fluid control valves; hydraulic, electro-mechanical and/or pneumatic actuation and associated systems; DC Brush & Brushless motors and/or other products or systems of similar scope to the CIRCOR Aerospace Inc product lines
Demonstrated ability to prioritize, balance, and manage multiple activities within the Sales & Business Development team in a dynamic environment
Proven track record of working across functional groups in a Team environment
Must possess solid analytical skills, process discipline, business analysis, and solution-driven thinking
Ability to communicate effectively across mediums with internal & external audiences
Broad knowledge of business and technology trends across multiple markets is required
Ability to adjust strategies and approaches quickly as conditions dictate
Demonstrated proficiencies in presentation, communication, writing and facilitation skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Power Point, Excel, and Word
Willingness to travel ~30% or as required
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, MBA, or equivalent graduate degree is highly desirable
Requires at least ten years of sales experience in Commercial and/or Defense & Aerospace
At least five years of management experience with responsibility for the productivity or development of others

PAY RANGE:
$200,000.00 - $237,000.00. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
