Adima Data Management is looking for a Bilingual Adjunct Fellow- Climate to work in the Washington DC area.ResponsibilitiesEducate participants about the scientific and meteorological causes of global warming through in-residence courses, seminars, and regional or international discussions.Consult with practitioners and conduct science needs assessments to develop effective climate mitigation plans.Develop climate change research and publications for diverse audiences.Communicate science findings to non-academic audiences, including governments and policymakers.Work with partner nation officials to mitigate climate change threats in Latin America and the Caribbean.Advise on adaptation strategies for climate change effects, including clean energy systems and infrastructure upgrades.Identify interagency efforts to combat climate change.Coordinate with armed forces for disaster preparedness related to climate change.Examine ways to increase regional cooperation in response to climate conditions.Possess excellent communication and writing skills.Demonstrate familiarity with climate science and impacts.Able to convene and organize meetings and workshops.Demonstrate knowledge of climate resilience planning.QualificationsFour plus (4+) years of professional experience as a subject matter expert on climate change issues.Ability to speak and write Spanish and English is required.Master's degree in climatology, earth sciences, or environmental sciences or equivalent.Doctorate degree in a field of earth or environmental sciences is preferred.Fluency in English and Spanish required; Portuguese skills desired.Occasional travel within the continental U.S. and throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.Pay Range190,000.00Regular - The company offers a comprehensive benefits program, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), and a range of other voluntary benefits.
