POSITION SCOPE
This position will report directly to the Controller to provide support to the team with effective accounting and operating systems for the UMG North America business units.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with Daily Cash Posting, Fixed Asset and Project tracking, intercompany and Inventory transactions.
Prepare month-end journal entries and assist in month-end closing, including completion of various GL account reconciliations and related schedules.
Help create supporting schedules for the annual financial audit.
Assist with designing and implementing new procedures when business strategies change or to create more efficiencies, while maintaining any related internal control policies.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
High level interpersonal communication skills, strong written, presentation skills and professional approach appropriate to a corporate environment.
Proven ability to plan, manage time and ability to prioritize strategically while balancing day to day requirements.
Self-motivation and a high level of initiative - takes ownership.
Experience with manufacturing and distribution desirable.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Minimum 3 years accounting or finance experience in a large manufacturing-based organization preferred.
Advanced level skills in MS Excel and Intermediate skills in Word & Outlook.
Experience with multi-location and multi-currency journals, account reconciling and reporting requirements desirable.
Passion for the craft brewing and malting industry is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft 365 products, particularly Microsoft D365.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent worked experience required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Standard working hours with the ability to be flexible, given time zone differences.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position or stand for prolonged periods of time.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
Personal Protective Equipment is required of all employees if leaving the main office and going to other locations where PPE is required.
Must be comfortable working in an open office environment with cubicle seating.
The hybrid work model is to work remotely on Monday and Friday and in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
COMPENSATION
Salary $65,381.77 - $98,072.67 based on experience. Newly hired incumbents are placed on the salary scale based on their education, training/skill, and experience, as applicable.
