Job Summary:
The Head of Supply Chain will be a key leader in shaping and executing the strategic vision for our supply chain operations to enable our rapid growth. This role is responsible for overseeing all the key aspects of supply chain management, including procurement, production planning, logistics, inventory management, distribution, customer service and owning the supply/demand forecasting process (S&OP). The position will report directly to Olli’s CEO and be a key member of the leadership team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the CPG food sector, demonstrating a track record of optimizing supply chain processes, driving operational excellence, and leading high-performing teams. The ideal candidate will also have had prior experience in a high-growth small-to-mid size food manufacturing company.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities (not restrictive):
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement the supply chain strategy aligned with company goals and objectives.
Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Collaborate with senior leadership to drive strategic initiatives and provide insights on supply chain performance.
Supply Chain Optimization:
Oversee and optimize end-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, production planning, inventory management, and distribution.
Implement best practices and technologies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and utilize data-driven insights to drive decision-making.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner closely with production partners/leader and QA partners/leader to ensure alignment and cohesiveness with plan execution.
Work closely with marketing, sales, and finance to ensure seamless integration and alignment of supply chain activities with overall business strategies.
Drive collaborative projects and initiatives to address cross-functional challenges and enhance overall efficiency.
S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) Lead:
Develop and implement S&OP strategies to balance supply and demand.
Partner with sales & current demand planning arm, while implementing the supply plan capabilities needed and ensuring process linkage.
Collaborate with senior management to set strategic goals and align operational plans.
Operational Excellence:
Ensure alignment between supply chain operations and business objectives, with a focus on scalability and agility.
Manage supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions and ensure continuity of operations.
Oversee inventory management practices to optimize stock levels and minimize obsolescence.
Vendor and Supplier Management:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of raw materials and finished goods.
Negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance to ensure quality standards and compliance.
Logistics, Transportation, and Customer Service:
Responsible for overall warehousing operation.
Optimize shipping and transportation with enhanced transportation focus and capabilities.
Partner closely to ensure effective customer services are in place to complement our sales function and support our customer’s needs.
Qualification & Experience Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is a plus.
Extensive experience in supply chain management, ideally within the CPG sector, ideally 15+ years.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Proven track record of leading teams and managing complex supply chain operations.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide teams.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with diverse stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in using supply chain management software and tools.
Ability to develop and execute long-term supply chain strategies.
Experience in managing and adapting to changing market conditions.
Travel Requirements:
The position requires the ability to travel by car, train, plane, or other means outside of the employee’s designated work site.
15% domestic travel per year.
