Psychiatrist- Child Adolescent
We are welcoming a dedicated Psychiatrist specialized in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry to join our newly opened, state-of-the-art 120-bed facility in West Allis, WI. This role focuses on providing comprehensive psychiatric care to children and adolescents in an inpatient setting. The ideal candidate will join a supportive team, working Monday to Friday with a manageable in-patient case load. This role provides an opportunity to significantly impact the lives of young patients and contribute to a growing facility.
Compensation:
DOE
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide psychiatric evaluation and treatment to children and adolescents in an inpatient setting.
Manage a daily caseload of a minimum of 15 patients.
Partake in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss treatment and management plans.
Available for weekend on-call duties as scheduled.
Contribute to the training and clinical supervision of less experienced staff.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
Board certified or eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Valid state medical license without restrictions to practice in Wisconsin.
Proven experience in child and adolescent psychiatry, post-residency.
Strong communication skills and empathy.
Ability to start quickly and integrate into a new setting efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in acute inpatient care settings.
Demonstrated leadership roles within a psychiatric department.
Track record of published research or presentations in related fields.
Involved in community-based mental health initiatives.
Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Skills:
Excellent clinical capabilities and understanding of psychiatric treatment modalities.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Empathetic and compassionate patient care.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team.
Commitment to continuous professional development and education.
