Psychiatrist - Adult or Child and Adolescent
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Psychiatrist to join our esteemed health facility in Jacksonville, NC. This full-time, inpatient role is designed for either an Adult Psychiatrist or a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist ready to make significant impacts in patient lives through direct, onsite intervention. Our psychiatrists play a crucial role in patient recovery, providing comprehensive mental health services and leadership within our treatment teams. As a significant member of our health care facility, you’ll work alongside a supportive professional team in a structured environment to deliver high-quality psychiatric care, contributing to the betterment of our community by improving individual mental health and wellness.
Compensation:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct daily rounds to monitor and evaluate patients’ psychiatric states.
Perform psychiatric evaluations during patient admissions.
Lead multidisciplinary treatment team meetings to discuss and optimize patient care plans.
Formulate and oversee the implementation of discharge plans.
Manage medication for patients, adjusting dosages and medications as needed.
Partake in an on-call rotation to provide continuous psychiatric support and crisis intervention.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
Medical degree from an accredited medical school and completion of residency in psychiatry.
Valid and active medical license in the state of North Carolina.
Board certification in Psychiatry, or board eligibility with plans to complete certification.
Proven experience in psychiatric practice, with a strong preference for experience in inpatient settings.
Demonstrated understanding of and ability to lead treatment teams.
Excellent communication skills and empathetic bedside manner.
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional fellowship training in Child and Adolescent or Adult Psychiatry.
Prior experience in leadership roles within a healthcare setting.
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations and high-pressure decisions.
Commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
Experience with inpatient psychiatric protocols and innovative treatment methodologies.
Skills:

Effective crisis management and intervention abilities.
Capability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
