The University of Arizona College of Veterinary Medicine (UA-CVM) invites applications for a part-time (.1 FTE) faculty position focusing on employment and careers in veterinary medicine. This position will provide content expertise on veterinarian employment issues within the Professional Skills curriculum and Career Services at UA-CVM. The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, multi-tasking abilities, a strong service orientation, and excellent oral and written communication skills. This position reports to the Sr. Associate Dean of Academic Programs and Faculty Affairs and collaborates with the Assistant Director of Career Services and Course Co-Directors of Professional Skills.Duties & Responsibilities:Provide class (virtual and in-person) instruction in Professional Skills related to employment and career progression in the veterinary profession.Prepare pre-work materials in collaboration with the co-directors and instructional team.Develop co-curricular workshops for Year 1, Year 2, and Year 3 students.Review, evaluate, and provide feedback to students as needed.Engage in the CVM collegial community and participate in shared governance and academic/professional society meetings.Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:DVM/VMD degree (or international equivalent) from an AVMA accredited college or school.At least 2 years of clinical experience in veterinary medicine.At least 5 years of legal experience in healthcare professions.Preferred Qualifications:JD degree from an accredited college or school.Experience teaching in an interactive curriculum within veterinary medicine.Experience with technology including MS Office and Learning Management Systems.Experience creating a positive, engaging, collaborative work environment.Rank:
