Assistant Controller
to join their finance team and play a key role in supporting their financial operations and contributing to the company's continued success. Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets. Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and payroll. Ensure compliance with industry-specific financial regulations and company policies. Participate in month-end and year-end closing procedures. Reconcile bank statements and oversee cash management. Collaborate with the Controller to provide financial analysis and insights for decision-making. Support internal and external audits, including the preparation of audit schedules and responses to inquiries. Assist in the development and maintenance of financial policies and procedures. Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and provide valuable financial information. Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement. Assist with special financial projects as needed. Mentor and provide guidance to junior staff members in the finance department. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience in accounting or finance, with a strong background in the farming and agriculture industry. Solid understanding of financial regulations, standards, and best practices relevant to the industry. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Excellent organizational skills and the capacity to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. $120,000 - $130,000 a year #J-18808-Ljbffr
