position working as
a full-time employee of Parexel FSP on long-term assignment
onsite at one of our clients located in
Rahway, NJ . This position offers full benefits, sick time, 401K, paid holidays, and paid time off.DescriptionLooking for a highly motivated purification chemist to provide chiral/achiral purification to support Discovery Chemistry in a High Throughput Purification GroupResponsibilitiesSet up, troubleshoot, and repair analytical and preparative LC-MS or SFC instrumentsPurification of desired products from chemistry reaction crude mixtures (mg-g crude scale) by applying LC/MS, SFC technologiesDevelopment of new analytical methods or approaches to address more challenging separationsQualifications - B.S. or M.S. in Chemistry, biology or related fieldScientist 2
- B.S. with 1-2 years of relevant experience or M.S. with no experienceScientist 3
- B.S. with 3-5 years of relevant experience or M.S. with 1-2 years of relevant experienceRequired Skills and ExperienceKnowledge of operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Waters instrumentation (UPLC-MS, AutoPurification system, Waters SFC, etc)Knowledge of informatics, basic computer programs (excel, word, etc), Waters operation software -Masslynx, and Virscidian softwareExperience in purification of small molecules, peptides, and other classesEffective communication and collaboration skills in a fast paced, team environment.Ability to multi - task and deliver on multiple priorities simultaneously.Highly self - motivated, customer - oriented focus and an attention to detail are critical to success in this position to support cross - functional collaborations across diverse research programsDesired Skills and ExperienceLC-MS method development knowledge and experiencesExperience in high throughput automation and instrumentation applied to chemical compound purificationEffective organizational, multi-tasking, and oral/written communications skillsAbout ParexelParexel FSP includes the CMC Operations group.
