Job Description
Deputy Director of Ambulatory reports directly to the Regional Director of Operations and the site Associate Medical Director. The Deputy Director of Ambulatory Care will be given directives/or assignment which include functions described below. This position requires flexibility across Gotham system as needed.
SUMMARY OD DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:• Serves as a member of the site operations Senior Team.• Implements and facilitates the operations restructuring at the Gotham FQHC sites, as assigned. Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team staff to improve patient floes, registration workflows and scheduling.• Develop and revise policy and procedures, as well as oversee standardization and programmatic function to ensure streamlined service delivery across the sites. Assist with the planning activities for new programs and expansions/contractions• Ensure that the sites and the programs meeting all regulatory requirements such as the New York State Department of Health, NYCDOH&MH, HRSA and NYC Health and Hospitals standards.• Maintain efficient daily operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing policies and procedures; developing, revising and implementing workflow and productivity parameters; trouble-shooting with site leadership staff.• Engage_in administrative consuhation_ and isues resolution with Service Line Administrators, Chief of Clinical Services, Social Work, Nutrition and Nursing leadership as well as with other Gotham department heads.• Proactively engaging with Regional Operations team and executes initiatives associated with key metrics to meet performance goals and expectations.• Monitor OTPS spending, prepare OTPS and Staffing plans to Regional leaders and the Gotham Executive Team.• Monitor all service-related issues influencing revenue generation, as well as ensure compliance with grants and entitlement programs.• Regularly and systematically evaluate the results of overall operations and report results to the Regional Director.• Conduct monthly staff 1: 1 supervision meeting/s with assigned staff• Interact with stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective processes• Collaborate in completing performance evaluations for staff• Gather information as needed to complete monthly statistical reports. Analyze data to identify trends. Create reports and presentations• Participate in training and education programs• Perform other duties assigned by Regional Director as needed, including but not limited to providing coverage for the Regional Director in his/her absence to ensure consistent operations.• Participate in Gotham Health committees as assigned as well as any Gotham FQHC meetings• Placing orders and managing POs.• Other duties and projects as assigned, including coverage and travel to other locations if necessary.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Executive Administration
Minimum Qualifications1. A Masters Degree from an accredited college or university and seven years of fulltimepaid experience of program development in a hospital or health care facility inmeeting community health needs, health care planning, financial planning, operations and analysis and implementation, in an administrative, consultative, managerial orexecutive capacity; or,2. A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university in BusinessAdministration, Social Sciences, Management, Health Care Administration or relateddiscipline; and,3. Eight years of full-time paid experience at the level indicated in (1) above; and,4. Demonstrated skills in written and medical communications; or,5. A satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
