Description
The Jr. Accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations and reporting requirements for CHCI's fastest growing operational subsidiary, ParkX Management, while also cross-training and providing ad hoc services for CHCI's expanding Commercial property portfolio.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage daily entry and processing of wire and ACH paymentsPerform daily detailed reconciliation of cash accounts to assess cash requirements, proper clearance of payments, etc.Record incoming and outgoing cash payments and research/resolve discrepancies or processing issuesPrepare related general ledger journal entries, including reconciliations and variance analysisDeliver owner and lender-required reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basisPrepare timely and accurate monthly reconciliations of bank accountsPrepare budget-to-actual variances, lead schedules, and financial reports needed for monthly close and SEC reportingSupport and maintain strong internal control policies and proceduresCommunicate effectively with various employees and management across the companySupport team for other general accounting items and projects as requiredSkills, Knowledge and Expertise
Bachelor's degree in accountingStrong accounting skills with in-depth knowledge of US GAAPUnderstanding of property management in relation to financial accounting, recoveries, budgeting and forecastingReal estate ERP experience (Yardi preferred)Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically ExcelExceptional oral and written communication, active listening, and organizational skillsFlexible team player with a can-do, positive attitudeStrong work ethic and willingness to constantly learn/improveHighly credible and trustworthy; desire to be accountable and strive for excellenceCustomer-focused and results-orientedAbility to establish strong working relationships with others in fast-paced team setting
