Iowa Wild Marketing Coordinator

The Marketing Coordinator for the Iowa Wild Hockey Club, AHL affiliate of the NHL's Minnesota Wild is responsible for the day-to-day, hands-on design and execution of B2C marketing campaigns including all traditional advertising campaigns, email marketing campaigns, and text campaigns. Additionally, the coordinator is responsible for managing the Iowa Wild website and mobile app. The ideal candidate will be able to create marketing collateral utilizing skills in graphic design, impeccable copywriting, HTML editing, and CSS coding. The ability to translate business objectives into creative and professional advertising campaigns and supporting copy is critical.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions
Campaign Management:
Lead the execution of brand, lead generation, and customer retention campaigns. Collaborate closely with marketing, ticket sales, sponsorship, merchandise sales, and communications teams to ensure alignment and success.Email Marketing:
Develop and manage day-to-day email marketing initiatives, including copywriting, graphic design, scheduling, testing, and deployment of strategic campaigns.Content Development:
Oversee the creation of revenue-generating content, maintaining the appropriate tone and voice in all messaging. This includes developing collateral, media assets, and signage.Inbox Management:
Manage info@iowawild.com and marketing@iowawild.com accounts on a daily basis, ensuring efficient communication to any customers and facilitating necessary information to internal departments and staff members.Media Management:
With the guidance of the Marketing Manager, build and manage all paid and barter media plans, ensuring accurate delivery of creative advertising and performance tracking.Website & Mobile App Management:
Maintain and update the Iowa Wild website and mobile app to ensure a user-friendly experience, creating new web pages as needed and managing sponsorship activations.Text Marketing:
Create and implement strategic text marketing campaigns aimed at driving revenue growth.Digital Communication Calendar:
Develop and manage a calendar of digital communications, ensuring timely execution of campaigns.Sponsorship Integration:
Collaborate with the sponsorship team to fulfill digital asset requirements across email, website, app, and advertising campaigns.Event Support:
Assist in the ideation and execution of lead-generating events and marketing tactics, identifying customer segments and value propositions.Analytics & Reporting:
Monitor systems and research data for sales leads and trends, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement based on analytics.Creative Collaboration:
Actively participate in creative brainstorming sessions for various organizational projects and initiatives.Project Prioritization:
Manage multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely completion.Perform other duties as assigned.Gameday Responsibilities:
Fan Engagement:
Interact with fans, assist in running in-game contests, and enhance the overall fan experience during home games.Fan Relations Management:
Oversee the fan relations area, providing support and information throughout each game.Interactive Experiences:
Collaborate on the development and execution of engaging activities for fans.Gameday Setup:
Assist with the setup and breakdown of gameday operations.
Position Requirements
Formal Education & Certification
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.Knowledge & Experience
Proficient in graphic design and copywriting.Proficient in HTML editing and CSS coding (or a desire to self-learn). Experience with Eloqua a plus.Strong understanding of B2C marketing strategies and tools.Personal Attributes
Excellent communication, time-management, and organizational skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Passion for hockey and a commitment to providing an exceptional fan experience.Work Conditions
