Plant Manager - Johnson City, TN Dynamic Plant Manager needed to lead this growing operation and drive continuous improvement in safety and operational efficiency. The plant manager is responsible for all aspects of plant operations, focused on developing and executing operational strategy to drive a safety culture and achieve high level of operational excellence. Our client delivers top-quality products to the battery market.Responsibilities:Safety Management:•Direct development and execution of the annual safety improvement plan.•Achieving a best-in-class safety culture by significant engagement by all plant associates.•Lead a robust investigation and review process to prevent recurrences.Operational Excellence:Foster an environment of curiosity and continuous improvement.Oversee plant operations, including production scheduling, quality control, and maintenance.Implement and monitor KPIs to drive continuous improvement and achieve operational goals.Optimize production processes: increase efficiency, reduce downtime and enhance quality.Manage plant budgets, control costs, and ensure effective resource utilization.Leadership and Team Management:•Lead, mentor and develop staff, fostering collaborative and high-performing work environment.•Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback to ensure alignment with goals.•Coordinate departments ensuring smooth workflow by effective communication in the Plant.Compliance and Reporting:•Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards.•Prepare and present reports on plant performance, safety metrics, and operational improvements•Address and resolve compliance issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.Requirements:•BS Engineering or related field advanced degree or relevant certifications a plus•Minimum 5 years experience as a manager with emphasis on safety and operational excellence.•Industry experience in specialty polymers, plastics, and automotive is ideal.•In-depth knowledge of key processes that make a manufacturing plant tick.•Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team, managing multiple priorities.•Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail and make data-driven decisions.•Strong communication and interpersonal skills and collaborate with all levels of the organization.•Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.•Familiarity with environmental regulations and compliance standards.
