Overview:
It is the primary responsibility of the Assistant Manager Beverage to maintain high standards in Beverage Services and support the objectives of the Food and Beverage Division. The Assistant Manager supervises the Beverage department staff to ensure proper service to all customers. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.
Specific Job Functions:
Maintain staffing levels to ensure adequate departmental coverage at all timesMaintain standards in quality of all beverage servicesEnsure efficiency of service through on-site monitoring on the casino floor and back of the house areasCommunicate any departmental needs to the Beverage ManagerAssist in maintaining company and departmental health and safety standardsComplete appropriate reports for shift as required by Beverage ManagerMaintain accurate and adequate employee records, ensure all employee relation issues are handled in a professional manner and issue commendations and disciplinary action as necessaryAssist in overseeing orders and maintaining of par levels of inventory for each beverage outletReduce waste and breakage of all products by helping to maintain a safe working environmentConduct meetings and relay pertinent information to the staff before the start of the daily shiftEnsure bar porters and bartenders have the necessary gaming permits before clocking inEnsure the cleanliness of all the bar areasMaintain adequate levels of products in each outletManage, monitor and mentor staff to ensure they are following proper policies and proceduresSupervise casino floor, service bars, and all beverage outletsAchieve all service, financial, and human resource goals set forth by company executivesPerform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the departmentResponsibilities/Qualifications:
Minimum three years management experience in high volume hotel and/or casino beverage department requiredKnowledge of all beverage equipment necessaryExcellent communication skills requiredBe able to communicate in English both verbally and written formPrevious supervisory experience preferred
