Senior Electrical Engineer (10+ Years) Our office is actively seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of experience in consulting engineering and project management, who is deeply passionate about their craft and seeks an environment conducive to professional growth. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive expertise across all facets of electrical systems design and specification. They should feel confident providing consulting services to architects, owners, and general contractors, demonstrating a strong desire to collaborate within a multidisciplinary engineering team while also excelling in independent work. The role entails overseeing multiple projects concurrently and supervising the efforts of a small team. We highly value individuals who are self-motivated, possess an enthusiastic mindset, and exhibit a keen interest in diverse projects, coupled with an unwavering attention to detail to ensure the delivery of top-notch engineering services. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of consulting Electrical Engineering experience. Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) is required. Desired experience in Department of Defense design. Proficiency in supervising and managing projects of varying scales. Excellent leadership, supervisory, writing, and verbal communication skills. Ability to produce comprehensive construction documents, including drawings, power system studies, and specifications. Proficiency in executing and overseeing designs, encompassing medium and low voltage AC/DC systems, single line diagrams, electrical plans, and equipment layout. Capability to execute and oversee both interior and exterior lighting design, ensuring compliance with IESNA requirements through footcandle calculations. Participation in client meetings and provision of engineering support throughout design and construction phases, including addressing AHJ comments, reviewing shop drawings, and responding to RFIs. Review of deliverables, including quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) throughout design and construction phases. Act as a technical resource for internal staff. Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment (or demonstrate the capacity to develop such abilities). Strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical skills (or demonstrate the potential to develop such skills). Positive contributor to overall office and department goals, culture, and morale. Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT. RCDD certification is a plus.
