Come join our seasoned mortgage sales team located in the Yakima Area. We are hiring a top sales performer who has extensive mortgage knowledge and exceptional communication standards. Creating an extraordinary member experience will be your key to success!Your day may include:Originating first mortgage loans and equity loansPricing and disclosing rates and fees via required disclosures in compliance with Federal RegulationsActively seeking new mortgage business through internal and external referral sourcesSubmitting upfront quality loan packages according to standardized expectationsCommunicating consistently with all parties to the transaction as well as back-office staff to ensure the timely closing of all loans in individual pipelineEnsuring the highest standard of quality service by meeting members' expectations in regards to responsiveness, dependability and individual attention to mortgage needsMeeting with external referral sources to prospect new business and increase brand awareness in assigned regionAttending all sales meetings, trainings, and corporate functions as assignedActively participating in WSECU's mortgage campaigns or advertising as neededEngaging in day-to-day activities of the Mortgage Origination TeamDeveloping and executing Individual Marketing Plans to ensure sales goals are metMaintaining knowledge of mortgage loan competition and industry best practices and recommending process improvements where appropriateWhat you bring to the team:Three (3) years of demonstrated success in a mortgage loan origination experience, including familiarity with FHA/VA requirementsBilingual in English and Spanish with proficiency listening, reading, writing and speaking in both languages (Spanish language proficiency assessment will be required for job finalists)Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, above average computer skills and ability to work on multiple software systemsExcellent conceptual, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to provide clear explanations of complicated mortgage industry processes, rates, practices and lawsAbility to calculate ratios, interest rates, loan payments and percentagesBonus Points if you have:College degree in Business or closely related fieldExperience in condos, jumbos, mobile homes and construction loansGood project management skillsCompetitive pay:
$17.31 per hour plus commission base planThe range above allows our employees room for growth through annual merit and other pay increase during their tenure in the position.The target range for qualified new hires is typically within the first half of the range. Actual offers will be based on individual qualifications relevant to the role and will not take an applicant's pay history into account.Where we're located:
Position covers WSECU Branches in the Yakima area. Employee must reside and perform all work in the state of Washington. This is a hybrid position that blends working in-office and from home. Works onsite two (2) occasions per week.When you'd work:
Monday-Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm with Saturdays hours as needed. Full time minimum 40 hours per week, with scheduling flexibility to meet service needs for this
