This position is 100% onsite and no remote or hybrid is available at this time.
We are looking for a candidate with subject matter expertise in the development and qualification of aerospace-related pyrotechnic and energetic components; e.g., gas generators, initiators, and igniters. The Lead Engineer should be knowledgeable of and will be responsible, under minimal direction, for supporting the following specific areas of effort related to energetic devices used in WI engines:Creation of requirements and specifications, and verification of requirements throughout the life cycle of the productInterpreting relevant government regulations, requirements, procedures, and safety standardsComponent and propellant design, analysis, and manufacturingDevelopment and qualification testing including planning, execution, and data reductionPreparation, documentation, and communication of test plans and reportsQualificationsMinimum 10 years of experience in development and qualification of energetic componentsBachelor’s Degree or higher in a relevant science/engineering or systems/project management discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Project Management)Understanding of Requirements Verification and Validation processesStrong organizational and analytical skills and attention to detailInterpersonal skills, as well as effective negotiation and conflict-resolution skillsWritten communication skills and proficiency in document preparationFamiliarity with applicable ammunition and explosive certification processesU.S. citizenship is requiredProficiency with Microsoft Office productsPosition requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed.Salary Range - $100,000 - $160,000Additional InformationWilliams International is a Drug Free Workplace where all new team members and contractors are subject to pre-employment drug testing for the following controlled substances: marijuana, cocaine, PCP, amphetamines, opioids, and alcohol as policy dictates.Williams International is committed to equal employment opportunities for all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, and protected veteran status.If you are interested in applying for employment with Williams International and need special assistance or an accommodation to use our website or to apply for a position due to a physical and/or mental disability, please send an e-mail with your request to HR@Williams-int.com.
