GenTax Systems Analyst - Information Systems Specialist 6

position. We are looking for talented, detail-oriented individuals to join our Information Technology Services Division in the GenTax Special Projects & New Development Unit. This is a Limited Duration position that is expected to end December 31, 2025. This position is headquartered in our Salem office; however, the successful candidate may be eligible for in-state hybrid work. Hybrid work consists of performing duties onsite in a standard office environment and working remotely.This is a limited duration appointment that is expected to end on December 31, 2025. Limited duration appointments are benefits eligible and have a designated maximum length of service. This position has the potential to become permanent.In order to be considered for Department of Revenue recruitments, you must reside within the state of Oregon. Current Revenue employees who live outside of Oregon may apply and will be considered.What You Will Be DoingBelow is a sampling of job duties. It is not meant to encompass all duties.Develop design specifications for objects and code to be used by the development team.Extract data from existing systems to be loaded into COTS products.Diagnose technical problems and construct technical solutions; safeguard software and data repositories, providing recovery as required.Respond to technical problems referred by agency management or staff users regarding system or software problems, troubleshooting and isolating problems.Identify inefficiencies in IT practices, procedures, and approaches to customer service and recommend changes.Serve as liaison to software and data vendors for problem resolution and technical support purposes.Assist other IT staff in solving problems and dealing with system issues.For a complete position description click

beverly.a.rathelegurche@dor.oregon.gov .This Is What You Need to QualifyFive (5) years of information systems experience in: Application developmentOR(b) An Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field,ORcompletion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field;ANDthree (3) years of information systems experience in: Application development;OR(c) A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fieldANDone (1) year of information systems experience in: Application development.The ideal candidate will possess the following desired skills and attributes:Experience in GenTax configuration and development (any prior GenTax business or IT experience will be taken into consideration, including any other FASTCORE product).Works well without a lot of direct supervision, strong investigative skills.Good communication skills, both written and oral.Flexible and adaptable.Organized – ability to multi-task.Ability to work in a team environment.What's In It For YouThe State of Oregon offers a competitive and affordable health and benefits package, including excellent
