The Oregon Water Resources Department has an exciting job opportunity on our Information Services team for a Service Desk Technician! If you are a service-oriented Information Technology professional and enjoy having a wide range of tasks throughout your day while providing effective and efficient customer service, then this could be the position for you!About the Position
The primary purpose of this position is to provide desktop administration and support to agency staff. This position resides in the service desk unit which acts as a single point of contact between the Information Technology (IT) organization and the business for all incident reports, service requests, change notifications, and any other necessary communications. This position will provide customer assistance and day to day operations around desktop, networking, and software support. This position will work closely with Data Center Services and Cyber Security Services staff on escalated technical issues and information security issues. This position also works on technical support on a variety of technologies under the guidance of the agency’s Systems Administrator, Database Administrator and Service Desk Administrator.Minimum Qualifications
Three (3) years of information systems experience in:Direct customer facing IT Support on networking issues, hardware and software issues
ORAn Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, OR completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field;AND One (1) year of information systems experience in:Direct customer facing IT Support on networking issues, hardware and software issuesWhat’s in it for you?
