Oregon Department of Education . This is a limited duration position represented by the
Service Employees International Union (SEIU) . The end date for this position is expected to be June 30, 2025.This role is a hybrid of remote work and will need to report to the office when business or operational needs are dependent on onsite activities. Remote work is embraced to the fullest extent possible without interfering with business.Current State of Oregon Employees are eligible to apply as a job rotation. aspires to nurture a thriving, sustainable, and innovative statewide educational vision and system rooted in humanity and responsive to complex and dynamic times.What you will do!As our Career and Technical Education (CTE) Data Analyst, you will use data collection and analysis to support efforts by colleagues and partners in implementing research-based, innovative programs.Typical Duties Include:Using SQL to access large relational databases, statistical programming, and all levels of data management.Providing professional development and technical assistance to coordinators, district staff, and regional leaders across the state.Calculating grant funding, including resolving inconsistencies and exploring data submission errors.Analyzing quantitative data and preparing reports and data dashboards.Collaborating with our internal technology team and federal systems team to enhance reports.Minimum Qualifications (Need to Have):A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or a degree that demonstrates the capacity for the knowledge and skills required to coordinate or administer programs related to CTE data AND four years experience coordinating or administering a program.ORAny combination of experience or education equivalent to seven years of experience coordinating or administering a program.Qualifying program coordination or administration experience must include developing a stand-alone program or coordinating a stand-alone program.Desired Attributes (Nice to Have):Experience analyzing large amounts of data to drive education program improvement.Proficient in SQL, R, SPSS or other statistical software.Excellent customer service skills.Strong communication skills including writing, speaking, and presenting.Experience training others to submit complete and valid data.Ability to establish relationships and demonstrate collaborative skills.Knowledge of the Perkins federal program for Career and Technical Education is preferred.At ODE, we pride ourselves on creating an inclusive, collaborative, and innovative atmosphere.
