The IT Specialist is a dynamic and proactive professional dedicated to providing comprehensive IT support to our contracted clients. This individual must possess a high level of motivation, exceptional organizational skills, and a friendly demeanor. Responsibilities include desktop and laptop imaging, end-user deployments, software installation, conducting updates and upgrades, and assisting Systems Administrators in preliminary troubleshooting. The role requires transportation of equipment, managing inventory/retirement of IT assets, documenting processes, and participating in computer-related projects. The successful candidate will engage directly with clients through various communication methods, ensuring a responsive and client-focused service. Guidance and direction will be provided by Systems Administrators and department managers to facilitate the IT Specialist’s integration and effectiveness within the team. This is an onsite position which may require on-call responsibilities.Responsibilities:Image, configure, deploy and support desktop, laptop, iPad, cellphone, software/operating systems, disk storage connectivity, etc.Manage and maintain Microsoft Windows and Apple OS systems.Track and document problems, issues, settings and solutions for IT systems.Review and create process and procedure documentation.Perform inventory and retirement processes.Available outside of normal business hours for client needs, events, or for server or desktop upgrades or updates.Utilize the department ticketing system to track work tickets and time.Assist Systems Administrators with troubleshooting, client interactions, machine deploys, and application support.Work as a team member as well as autonomously.Travel on and off campus locations using personal vehicle for IT support and equipment transport.Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within areas of specialty.Preferences:Three years of computer support related experienceITIL Foundations CertificationA+, MCSE, or other applicable certificationsMicrosoft Windows and Apple OS troubleshootingMDM experienceEnvironment:
Will require lifting, bending, reaching, crawling under desks, repetitive desk work such as typing and long-term sitting.Salary Range:
