The Accountant supports the Senior Accountant and performs accounting operations for the Company. This position will prepare and maintain the financial records to track the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities and other related financial activities.
Schedule:
Hybrid, 2 days onsite per week
Summary of Essential Functions:Supports accounting team on month end close proceduresPrepare and maintain general ledger reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts.Prepares accounts receivable/accounts payable aging reports, analyzing data and recognizing trendsProcess, reconcile credit card and code to proper accountEstablish and assign entries to proper accounts in General Ledger.Post journal entries and reconcile general ledger accountsMaintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules.Assist with sales tax reportingAssist with the year end auditAccountabilities & Supporting Activities:
Review and process monthly AMEX expense reports and receipts.Investigate and correct errors or inconsistencies in financial entries.Ensure accuracy and effectiveness in all accounting tasks.Identify inefficiencies and recommend ways to improvePrepare ad hoc reports and assist with various projects as assigned by the Senior AccountantKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Competent in general accounting and financial practices and procedures.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Highly organized, with ability to demonstrate attention to detail, multi-tasking and good recordkeeping.Ability to work independently with little supervision, yet work well in a team environment.Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, using sound judgment.Quick learner who can apply new job related information.Computer proficient, Google Suite preferred.Other:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance, or a BA in Business with emphasis in Accounting, requiredExperience: Minimum 2 years' professional experience in an Accounting or Finance positionBenefits and Perks of joining the PFX Team:
