Nelson Mullins is seeking a skilled Litigation Paralegal for our Philadelphia office. The successful candidate will support attorneys in representing leading product manufacturers and corporate clients across a variety of complex litigation matters, including state and federal proceedings and class actions.The ideal candidate will possess over 3 years of litigation experience in a law firm setting, with comprehensive case preparation expertise from inception to resolution. A thorough understanding of a paralegals role throughout the litigation life cycle, particularly in product liability litigation, is essential.A Day in the Life:Performing a broad range of substantive paralegal tasks, you will work directly with attorneys on product liability, personal injury, and other complex disputes across various industries. You will maintain and monitor court deadlines for assigned cases and take ownership of case calendars. Under the supervision of an attorney, you will electronically file documents with the Court through the ECF system, perform online PACER research, and prepare drafts of pleadings, notices, and motions.In addition, you will prepare deposition notices, organize and maintain deposition materials, exhibits, and summaries, and track and manage discovery, including document productions. You will participate in case strategy meetings and handle routine calls and correspondence with courts, outside attorneys, and clients.We Know You:You should have a 2 or 4-year degree and a paralegal certificate, though relevant work experience may be substituted for education. Experience in Pennsylvania and New Jersey courts is required, and experience in New York courts is a plus.You should have the ability to conduct research using various tools, including the Internet and Westlaw.
