This position is currently hybrid with some remote work flexibility, however, the position does require travel on a regular basis.

Work Unit
Administrative Solutions is a strategic support unit that provides business partnerships to help the Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) programs achieve their goals. Administrative Solutions provides leadership and support related to information technology and business resources; facilities maintenance for over 340 buildings and 3.9 million square feet of property; assists programs with long-range infrastructure and capital asset planning, and provides services within human resources, legal, quality assurance, and audit for approximately 5,200 employees. Administrative Solutions' goal is to provide quality customer service, efficient workflows, and high-quality support so that CDHS can achieve its goal of helping families to thrive.
Job Description
As a member of the Senior Executive Team, the Deputy Executive Director provides oversight and direction in the strategic planning, goal setting, program outcomes, and performance measurement for Administrative Solutions. The Administrative Solutions Deputy Executive Director develops tools and systems to provide critical financial, human resources, and operational information to the CDHS Executive Director, as well as implementing actions related to strategic direction for these functions. This position serves on the Senior Executive Team.
Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights

Minimum Qualifications:
Experience: Ten (10) years of progressively responsible professional experience leading a large, complex organization that must have included at least:
Six (6) years of experience successfully leading and supervising subordinate managerial staff
Four (4) years of professional public or business administration experience that included establishing organization structure, developing strategic work plans, budget development and control, setting goals and objectives to achieve program results, and fostering a team environment
Employment history is calculated on a full-time basis (40/hrs per week). Part-time employment is calculated on a prorated basis to determine qualifications. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Colorado State Government
Additional depth and breadth of job-related experience beyond the minimum qualifications above

This position is required to travel, sometimes over multiple days, to perform job duties.
