(see E Ink Our Company)About the position:The Loading Dock Assistant is responsible for assisting with the shipping & receiving of packages and chemicals, entering them into a chemical inventory system (ScienceCloud) and SAP. This is done electronically and physically. You will also keep an inventory of lab consumables and the on-site storage warehouse. Our current opening is for the 7:00 am to 3:30 pm shift, Monday through Friday. These duties can be physically demanding at times and include the following responsibilities.Receive packages from delivery trucks and enter them into the SAP inventory systemEnter chemicals into the internal chemical inventory system (ScienceCloud)Notify recipients of received shipmentsShip outgoing packages through FedEx including hazardous chemicalsAssist in the upkeep of lab & chemical consumables (solvents, dry ice, etc.)Assist in keeping inventory of lab and chemical consumables up-to-dateAssist in the general upkeep and housekeeping of the Loading Dock areaAssist the Head Shipping Clerk & Inventory Coordinator in accomplishing various necessary day-to-day tasksJob Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalentBasic data entry skills using Microsoft Word and ExcelExcellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize work based on company goals and priorities, willingness to take on new responsibilitiesAbility to work independentlyAbility to work as a team memberAbility, and willingness, to make decisions with limited direction, and flexibility with changing prioritiesPreferences:Shipping experienceForklift CertificationDOT/IATA Shipment CertificationSAP skillsBenefits:Competitive total compensation packageMedical, dental and vision on 1st dayCompany 401K match20 PTO daysUnlimited sick timeCasual day to day work environment
