Overview:Star Dental Partners is currently seeking a
Senior Manager of Information Technology Operations
to join our high-growth and fast-paced dental services organization (DSO). Experience in a
multi-site business environment
specifically dental, healthcare, or retail is a plus. Preferred candidates will have an appropriate sense of urgency, value clear and consistent communication, have the ability to build strong relationships, and
provide excellent customer service .
The senior manager of information technology operations will play a critical leadership role, overseeing all technology operations, infrastructure, and systems. This role will also be responsible for
managing relationships
with third-party vendors, ensuring that all locations are equipped with the necessary tools and systems to deliver exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the healthcare and dental industry, preferably with experience in multi-location environments such as a Dental Service Organizations (DSOs), and possess a proven ability to manage vendor partnerships effectively.

Responsibilities:
IT Strategy and Leadership:
Work collaboratively with senior leadership to develop IT strategy aligned with the overall business goals.
Ensure IT systems and infrastructure are scalable and secure to support ongoing business growth.
Vendor and Third-Party Management:
Manage relationships with third-party vendors, ensuring the delivery of high-quality IT services and products.
Be the primary conduit for issues and escalations from 3rd Party MSP.
Oversee the performance of external service providers, ensuring that they meet service level agreements and business expectations.
Evaluate new and existing vendors to identify opportunities for improvements or cost savings.
Infrastructure and Systems Management:
Ensure the smooth operation of all IT systems, including dental practice management software (PMS).
Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure that IT solutions meet operational needs and enhance patient care delivery.
Compliance and Security:
Ensure all IT systems comply with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, HITECH) and industry standards.
Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies to safeguard patient data and protect against threats.
Project Management:
Lead IT projects from conception through implementation, including system upgrades, software rollouts, and new location integrations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and clinical leadership, to deliver IT solutions that support business objectives.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
Multi-location IT Support:
Along with Star’s 3rd party MSP provider, provide IT support for 100+ locations, ensuring that each location has the necessary technology and tools to operate efficiently.
Oversee the implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all locations for hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
Work with 3rd party MSP to troubleshoot and resolve IT issues across multiple locations, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to services.
Technology Innovation:
Stay updated on emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on the business.
Implement innovative IT solutions to enhance operational efficiency, patient care, and business growth.
Asset Management:
Oversee requests for technology hardware.
Manage the purchase and configuration of hardware in conjunction with the IT vendor.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
7+ years of experience in IT leadership roles, preferably within a Dental Service Organization (DSO), retail medical, or multi-location healthcare environment.
Proven experience in managing third-party vendors, contract negotiations, and service level agreements (SLAs).
Strong knowledge of healthcare IT systems, including practice management software (PMS).
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and locations.
Strong project management skills with experience managing IT projects in a multi-location environment.
Required to commute to the Plano, TX office at least (4) four days per week; Fridays are remote.

is a private equity backed Dental Support Organization (DSO) that acquires private practice dental office throughout the Southeastern United States and provides industry proven non-clinical support services to our dentist partners. Specifically, the SDP team assists dentists with payables and cash management, revenue cycle collections and payor relationships, inventory management, payroll administration, human resources, marketing, recruiting, and back-office management.
