The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services’ (Iowa HHS) Division of Compliance, Bureau of Human Resources and General Business Services is seeking a Data Analyst (Data Analyst 1).

Summary:This position will oversee the data collection and analysis of various programs within the HHS agency and will be responsible for a variety of data reporting on department-wide initiatives, including agency cultural assessments, compensation and pay, and hiring trends.

The HHS Data Analyst position is a part-time opportunity with a flexible schedule. Occasional travel for trainings and meetings will be required.

Responsibilities:Collaborate and communicate with Human Resources and team members throughout the agency to effectively manage data analysis and reporting metrics.Create and build strong working relationships with internal and external partners to evaluate existing workflows and recommend improvements of existing systems and workflows.Provide analysis of agency hiring trends and practices, including reporting for employee retention and recruitment strategies.Responsible for providing workforce skills assessments and creating and maintaining HR and Workforce program dashboards.Applicant will be required to complete a background check to be considered for this position.
