Would you enjoy working with others to assist students in getting set up for classes? UAS Ketchikan campus is hiring a Registration Technician. This position is the primary point of contact for the campus in the registration office, including phone calls to the main campus number, responding to general inquiries through email, and forwarding requests to appropriate departments around campus. This position assists students with registering for classes, answers questions about available programs of study, and processes registration forms. Ketchikan Campus flagship programs include marine transportation and online interdisciplinary bachelor’s degrees. This is a full-time, 12 month, non-exempt staff position with benefits.To thrive in this role, the successful candidate must be excited to serve as a main point of contact for a small college campus, and to interact with prospective and current students with a positive attitude. Must have good organizational skills, strong communication skills, and attention to detail. Must be reliable, courteous, and demonstrate experience working collaboratively with others. Must be able to handle confidential material in a professional manner.Minimum Qualifications:Associate’s degree and two years experience in an administrative / office environment, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.Position Details:This position is located on the Ketchikan campus of the University of Alaska Southeast. This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package.
