Plant Manager

at our

Louisville, KY

location.The Chemical Safety Lead consults, analyzes, evaluates and makes recommendations to site management regarding facility, safety, security, and fire protection strategies. Develops and leads planning and resource allocation for successful implementation of specialized and routine projects emphasizing defect elimination.The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:Serve as Process Safety Management Element Lead for Safe Work Practices and Hot WorkResponsible for implementation, communication and coordination of all safety, security, emergency response, and fire protection programsConduct investigations relating to all safety incidents, ensuring proper notification process is followed, providing analysis on root cause, and working with site management on corrective actionAnalyze and direct supervisors on methods and approaches to resolve safety related concernsProvide regular metrics and performance reporting to siteEnsure proper compliance of safety documentation in accordance to state and federal lawsResponsible for Training and PSM programs across the siteAct as the primary investigator on behalf of the site relating to all safety incidentsManage all record keeping requirements of site team (state specific, OSHA, EPA, etc.)Research new regulations and developments in the field of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) and implementDemonstrate and promote felt leadership engagement and have an active physical presence across the siteFacilitate effective sharing of information across organization as a whole. Create an atmosphere of awareness, engagement, and commitment to zero.The following is

for this role:Bachelor’s degree (in EHS or Engineering programs preferred, with preference to Safety, Security, or Fire Protection)Minimum 5 years’ experience in EHS&S (Environmental, Health and Safety & Security) ManagementIndependently proactive to ensure adherence to all EHS&S regulations while building and maintaining rapport with Operations, Technology, Maintenance, and Training organizationsExperience leading EHS improvement in chemical, complex, or high hazard operations – including Emergency Response, and PSM leadershipAbility to take initiative, self-manage, identify what is needed and take effective action to bring about change and lead/implement change while demonstrating Chemours' core valuesExceptional and proven communication skills, both oral and writtenProficiency with analytical tools to help gather and analyze dataThe following is

preferred

for this role:5+ years high hazard chemical process experienceSound technical and regulatory based safety and process safety management knowledge, including knowledge of regulations, laws, and standards (specifically OSHA and PSM Regulations)Training experience to enhance employee knowledge and skillsetsSix Sigma or Lean Continuous Improvement CertificationExperience working in a union environmentAbility to anticipate, plan, develop, implement, audit, and improve sustainable systems and processes in the EHS fieldAt Chemours, you will find sustainability in our vision, our business and your future.
