This position is required to be on site. You will manage a high performing team of Quality Engineers, Product Inspectors, Receiving Inspectors and the Calibration Laboratory.Responsibilities
Develop, modify, apply and maintain quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product.Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.Devise and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conduct quality assurance tests; and perform statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.Audit quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.Ensure that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards, and that documentation is compliant with requirements.May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies.Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 9+ years of relevant work experience (Additional 4+ years of direct experience will be considered in lieu of degree)Demonstrated experience in inspecting products and structures (CMM)Ability to document, plan and manage projectsPrevious leadership experience in a manufacturing team environment.Strong leadership and employee engagement skillsStrong written and verbal communications skills.Prior Factory Quality experience.Experience working with Government agenciesFamiliarity with ISO 9001/AS9100 Quality Management System certification processAbility to obtain and maintain DoD Secret security clearance (US Citizenship required)Preferred Qualifications
Ability to perform quality related data analysisStrong background in AuditsFamiliarity with ISO 9001 / AS9100 Quality Management System certification process.Experience in Supplier QualitySalary Range
$119,800 - $179,600The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
