Incumbents may perform duties in one or more IT specialization areas depending on the needs of the agency.Incumbents perform journey level duties and may serve as a lead worker to lower level IT staff as assigned. This is a supervisory level for the Computer Operations function.The Nevada Department of Transportation is seeking an IT OPERATIONS SPECIALIST to join our team in Elko, NV. Duties include complex troubleshooting and the support of NDOT computing devices and peripherals in a variety of physical and remote (VPN) office scenarios; application support duties consist of installing, upgrading, and break/fix problems in Office 365 as well as 600+ transportation-specific software applications; endpoint preparation and deployment; monitoring, security, and maintenance of NDOT computing environment; completion of work orders within established time frames; maintenance and installation of major network, server, and TEAMS Phone systems, and assisting with the asset management of computers, peripheral devices, and printers. Prioritizing and resolving customer issues are an integral component and focus of this position.
