Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced

EPIC Application Coordinator - Ambulatory Analyst

to join our healthcare IT team. This role is responsible for supporting the implementation, optimization, and ongoing maintenance of the EPIC Ambulatory module. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of EPIC systems and workflows within an ambulatory care environment, ensuring that the application meets clinical and business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary liaison between clinical staff, IT, and EPIC teams to ensure the smooth implementation and maintenance of the EPIC Ambulatory module.

Analyze and translate clinical and business workflows into EPIC system configurations that enhance usability and efficiency.

Configure, test, and implement new features, functionalities, and updates within the EPIC Ambulatory system.

Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, working closely with users and other IT staff to ensure timely and effective problem resolution.

Perform regular system audits, testing, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and compliance with healthcare standards.

Assist with the development of training materials and provide user support and training for clinical staff on EPIC systems.

Monitor and ensure system compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and other security protocols.

Collaborate with other EPIC analysts and departments to align system configurations with organizational goals and industry best practices.

Participate in project management activities, ensuring timely delivery of system enhancements and optimizations.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

EPIC Ambulatory Certification

required.

Minimum of 3 years of experience working with EPIC systems in a clinical or IT capacity, specifically focused on ambulatory care.

Strong understanding of clinical workflows in ambulatory settings and experience translating those into system functionality.

Experience with EPIC build, configuration, and system updates.

Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with clinical and non-clinical staff.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA compliance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with other EPIC modules or certifications.

Prior experience in a healthcare IT role within an ambulatory environment.

Project management experience in system implementation or upgrades.
