Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Staff Engineer Systems – C2BMC Solution Chief (Inc10) (24-193) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Colorado Springs, CO.

Position Overview:

The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations. C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight.

Essential Functions:

Requires proven communication skills, extensive collaboration regarding the planning and execution of the work, rapid resolution of issues, and a focus on building confidence/cohesion in the C2BMC National Team.

Oversee the planning and execution of experimentation, digital design, enterprise development, integration, testing, analysis, and deployment of capabilities.

Employ and promote digital lifecycle best practices utilizing emerging technology.

Govern all activities of IAW compliance and program operating documentation.

Managing, identifying, documenting, and handling risks and opportunities.

Proven Development Leadership on a Large-Scale Software Program.

Experience with multi-domain level Command and Control Systems.

Demonstrated proficiency within the System Engineering discipline, including experience managing software development.

Experience as a customer advocate and experience working with a multi-faceted, multi-company contract.

Experience with the development life cycle and adapting to emerging digital technology for requirements, hardware, software, firmware, product, system, integration, test, and operations.

Technical expertise and ability to develop and drive a vision, strategy, and execution approach for external customers, leaders, and development teams.

Ability to leverage data to drive results and measure performance.

Basic Qualifications:

An active Secret clearance is required to start.

14 years with a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline OR 12 years' experience with a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline.

Must focus on a continuous improvement strategy and implement lessons learned, causal analysis, process improvement initiatives, and best practices aligned with the program vision.

Must be able to shape, adapt, and align customers' needs to overall program objectives within a rapidly changing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Travel between Colorado Springs and Huntsville may be required to support Customer and Program Leadership meetings.

Work with distributed functional personnel at development and operational sites may also be required.

$150,000 - $225,000
