Torch Technologies is looking for a Mission Engineer to support the Army Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO) Human Machine Integrated Formations (HMIF) Project Office (PO). The HMIF PO will collaboratively develop two complex HMIF formations, one integrated formation for an Armor BCT and one formation for an Infantry BCT within 27 months. This Mission Engineer will collaborate with system users, requirements owners, and developmental contractors to translate operational mission requirements into systems, hardware, and software requirements to support the prototyping of the HMIF Armor and Infantry BCT formations.Responsibilities
Planning, coordinating, scheduling, engineering and technical support activities applicable to systems development and capability integration at the direction of the Mission Engineering Team Leads.Manage communications between the Mission Engineering working group across the engineering working groups.Collect information and RFIs from the engineering groups, assemble and format the information as required.Translate operational vignettes, CONOPS and mission threads into engineering scope.Provide expertise in linking operational vignettes, CONOPS and mission threads into modeling and simulations environments.Prepare recommendations, updates and/or briefings for the Mission Engineering Working Group Leads as directed.Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in related field.5 years of relevant systems engineering experience.Experience in DoD acquisition programs; Army experience preferred.Experience with evaluating projects using different methods and options to determine the most cost-effective solution that meets the required specifications.Hands-on experience applying systems engineering and integration principles across both hardware and software systems.Experience with DoD acquisition process, authoring DoD acquisition documentation including systems engineering plans and Performance Based Specifications.Proficient in Microsoft Office products, Power Point, Excel, knowledgeable in MS Project, produce briefing materials as required to support Mission Engineering requirements.Desired Qualifications
Recent engineering experience with platforms and C4ISR systems.Familiarity with DoD 5000 acquisition lifecycle processes.Superior writing skills inclusive of developing technical system-level specifications.Excellent communication skills including the ability to generate and deliver focused briefings on complex topics to senior leaders.Ability to work on multi-functional/multi-disciplinary teams.U.S. Citizenship Required for this Position:
