Summary

The Technical Assistant provides assistance to technologists, physicians, and other staff members with peripheral activities associated with Mammography procedures. Typical duties include greeting patients and getting them ready for their exam, running errands appropriate to getting the exam done, patient accompaniment, processing paperwork, computer entries, room stocking, and cleanliness. This position will also provide back-up services in the film library and as a PSR in and out patient reception as needs dictate.

Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public. Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees. Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.Other Requirements:

Must possess skills in Basic Medical Terminology.
